Dense Breasts 101… with Dr. Julie Gershon

When I got my mammogram results in the mail earlier this year, the letter was signed by a radiologist : Dr. Julie Gershun. I decided to try contacting her to talk more about dense breasts, so I typed her name into Google to look her up.

Oops - the search results showed up for ‘Gershon’ instead of ‘Gershun’ and I didn’t pick up on it straightaway. I called the number I found for her radiology practice, and when we eventually connected, Dr. Julie Gershon was pretty confused - having never read my mammogram, not knowing who on earth I was, and in fact, running a practice in Connecticut, not New York, where I live.

What are the chances, eh? I asked Julie if she could do an interview about dense breasts anyway, and she was game. I guess the universe really wanted us to record this episode!
